Recipes for Detoxing, Building Nervous & Immune System, and Energizing

Water

For cleansing the body of toxins, balancing the emotions and calming the nervous system sip 2 quarts of water every day.  Really need to detox — increase the water intake to 3 quarts a day.

 

Grapefruit Juice

(Late Spring is the season in Az for free grapefruits as they overripen and sweeten.)

An 8 oz glass of grapefruit juice helps in the detoxification process and is also good for the kidneys and urination.  Use fresh juices whenever possible.

  Challenged by grapefruit flavor and tartness?  Add a little fresh apple juice, sweetens and cuts the flavor, milder.  May just add water too. 

 

Grapefruit, Apple and Carrot Juice

  A wonderful detoxification drink.  Very cleansing as well as an energy booster.  Combine 1/3 each grapefruit juice, apple juice and carrot juice.  Also recommended for people detoxing from addiction recovery.

 

Carrot, Cucumber and Beet Juice

  Equal amounts of carrot & cucumber juice, 1 cup each.  1 slice of large or ¼ small beet.  Carrot for heart and eyes.  Cucumber for nerves.  Beets for blood.

 

Celery and Celery Juice for nervous system

Use celery in raw salads and cooked food.  Juice celery first thing in morning and for sleeping at bedtime.  Start very small with celery juice, 1 ounce and build to a cup if your system tolerates.  It can detox liver too fast if your digestive tract cannot carry away the toxins you may have a healing crisis.

Bananas

  Bananas strengthen the nervous system and are good for depression.  May eat 1 to 4 a day.  Be sure to scrape the inside of the banana peel to get those nutrients.

 

Handful of Raisins

  Raisins are an energizer and particularly beneficial for people trying to quit smoking. They are very rich in iron and also contain calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, plus B1 and B6 vitamins.  To restore depleted energy eat a handful at 4pm.

 

P Fruits

  The P fruits including pineapples, pears, peaches and plus are all very good for the urinary tract, bladder and kidneys  (typically overtaxed from stressors).  Incorporate any fruit that begins with a “p” into your diet and enjoy.

 

Almonds

  Almonds contain many of the nutrients for strengthening the nervous system, higher in protein and more alkaline than other nuts.  They include the B complex vitamins, copper, iron, phosphorus, calcium and potassium.  Almond’s nutrients are more accessible if soak them overnight , peel the skins off, and eat them.

 

Cooling Salad:

   Especially good for nervous system and immune system.  Best if served right away.  If it soaks for a while, next meal or next day you may like to serve over a bed of fresh shredded green lettuce.  Makes it two separate dishes and less like leftovers.

  Peel, and cut in half lengthwise a European/English cucumber (burpless and very mild flavor, you will see why English like the mild delicate English cucumber sandwich).  Slice the cucumber halves.

  Slice 2 stalks of celery.

  Slice 1/8 to ¼ inch thick and 1-inch-long pieces of ripe avocado, 1/3  medium to large avocado

   Juice of ~½ small lemon (1 to 2 tablespoons)

   1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of fresh dill finely chopped (1/8 inch pieces)

   Sea salt to taste, ¼ to 1/3 teaspoons of sea salt

   Toss gently.  Avocado will break down fast, you want it to have its own flavor & texture.

Lemon water & Lime water cleanse body.  

Watermelon floods body with electrolytes and hydrates, and a favorite is it washes Processed Cane Sugar out of your system.

Ginger Lemonade is especially good when people are taking a new step forward –Ginger for nervous system. Lemon for cleansing.  Water to flush.  Use for Reiki training to support attunements. When adding more ginger juice then less sweeteners needed.

Turmeric Juice (70%)  and Ginger Juice (30%)  detox, clears out inflammation, prevents arthritis and gets rid of it.  A clean system is an energized system.  People complain that it stains a lot so let full strength dish soap liquid sit on stain for few minutes  to few hrs and it wipes off.  Also complain about juicing frequently and cleaning equipment so juice about 4 to 6 cups at once and place in sealed Mason jars in freezer, there is  a fill line below threads for freezing. Sit upright and juice turmeric ginger roots every month or 6 weeks. 😊

Turmeric and Cayenne in any juice.  Powerful antibiotic.  Resolved gangrene and routinely root canal small bacterial leaks clear right up.  Can take it  with water or juice.  Especially wonderful in Ginger lemonade.

Fresh Cooked tea:  Moringa lemongrass tea with mint if can tolerate mint in your diet.  Or Moringa Lemongrass and Ginger Tea.  Both at nice.
