How does Kundalini Energy awaken?

The Kundalini energy is stimulated and awakens when the incoming energy (prana) and outgoing energy (apana) balance at the third chakra.  A trickle effect occurs with movement of the breath, body and vocal vibration meditating that create balance and a path for the energy to circulate gradually.  Once the prana and apana are balanced the Kundalini can circulate through its whole path.  With the balanced application of elements in a Kundalini Yoga class practice much of the movement is not felt but realized as a feeling better, more energy.  This balanced approach supports everyone from beginners to life-long practitioners of Kundalini Yoga.

What is the Kundalini Awakening Process of Sudden Spontaneous Rising?

Sudden Enlightenment Kundalini Rising is not the goal of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

  Sudden spontaneous enlightenment may cause extreme energy imbalances and has nothing to do with Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.  Those discomforts come from energy being awakened when the circulating path is not clear for the movement, the energy may bounce among the chakras and have difficulty transitioning from the chakras to the aura.  

What is the Kundalini Awakening Process in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan?

Gradual Balanced Process and can be a corrective action for Sudden Spontaneous Rising.

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan does not cause dangerous and extreme energy imbalances.  Instead, people who suffer from those can take Kundalini Yoga to gradually become more grounded, balance their chakras and energy bodies (especially arc line and aura), strengthen their nerves and progress to channel the Kundalini energy through their body, chakras and aura effectively.  Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan has a lot of focus on strengthening the arc line (core of aura) so the energy can transfer from the chakras to the aura with ease and comfort.

  Developing Kundalini energy release and circulation as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a gradual and balanced process of releasing Kundalini energy for clearing and balancing energy centers and systems of the body, especially nervous system and the electromagnetic field (aura) around the body.  The process is transformational for the body and energy centers.  For the mind it increases the inner light and cleans out old patterns of fears and worries.  It supports the systems of the body balancing and performing more efficiently for healing. Ultimately supporting the brain body mandala where they work together more efficiently for more sustained peace, happiness and joy.  Reduces fear, reactions, doubts, hesitations, feelings of disconnection, addictions, and depression.
